FAQs

How do we start this process?

Email or call me and we'll start a dialogue about your designs and materials. I will take your ideas and estimate a fee and draw up a couple of proofs via PDF for you to review. You select one or two designs and we continue to finesse the details till the final design is ready.

Finally, I will send a native file and/or PDF file for your use with the printer

What if I already know exactly what I want?

If you're lucky to already know what you want, I suggest sending an image, color sample, or photo and any other ideas that might help me understand what you have in mind. These projects are usually the cheapest to duplicate and the fastest to produce.

What is it that you actually sell?

I sell my services. The final product is most often an electronic file that you can then take to a printer. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, but typically I do not physically create or make paper invitations.

What if I don't know what I want?

Like most of us, it usually takes some time and experimentation to figure out the final product. First, I suggest searching websites and getting a feel for the type of product you're looking for. I can help you from there.

How much will it cost?

Every project is different, but each is budget sensitive. I understand that costs are important  and that is why I like to give an estimate for all work prior to starting and we make adjustments from there.

Can you print the materials too?

Yes, I can, but there benefits to coordinating the printing yourself. Printing is the last and most important detail. I suggest setting your budget to allow for at least $1.50 (maybe more) per card or invite and allowing at least 5 days to print. Because it can be expensive, it pays to shop around. I usually suggest using a printer close to you so that you can see the proof first hand and negotiate the best price. However if this is inconvenient, I can coordinate all printing and ship the product to you.

How long does it take?

You set the pace. Most project take about 2 weeks from start to finish. We can speed up or slow down the process depending on the complexity. Drafts are usually revised within 24 hours.

Do you proofread?

No, generally I do not proofread the text. I am most concerned with the design and appearance of text and not the details. Remember to submit writing that answers all of the following questions: who, what, when, where, and how.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check, or paypal.
